Kenya Dispatch: Picture Time

I met with a group of high-achieving guys (and 1 woman) in Kibera on Saturday, to discuss what workshops they might want Acumen Fund staff to lead. The conclusions: soft skills, like interview prep, networking, public speaking and writing.

My friend Manasa runs a Saturday school program in Kibera – I visited the kids after my meeting, at the same community center. Supremely fun.

The kids began to lose control after I took the first picture; here, they’re starting to jump all over the place.

The “Acumen Fund Family” here in Nairobi – at Biju’s house for dinner (thanks Linnie and Aruna for the AMAZING home cooked Indian food).

The Acumen Crew – from left, Amon, Manasa and Ajay

With Ajay at lunch. We were NOT having fun.
